Oryzias eversi is one of the so-called pelvic-brooding ricefish species from Sulawesi, micro-endemic and possibly extinct in the wild.
Sulawesi quite often suffers from natural disasters such as earthquakes, floods, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions and landslides. These have significant environmental and socio-economic impacts.
